Ergo

Ergo is a word of certainty and cohesion. In a life punctuated by disconnected experiences, ergo reminds one that sequential order and mutual support still exist. B is so because A is so. Or to put it poetically: A is so, dragging B along in tow. One need wonder no longer about that rascally B, because ergo signals that the question has been settled irrevocably. Since A and B are inescapably intertwined, one derives security from the overarching metanarrative that binds the two to the rest of a interlocking system. Post-modernists may shun the humble word, consigning it to the fate of other four-letter vocabulary members. But I shall say ever--We need a foothold in the quicksand of our times, Ergo, Speak Forever.
