Covenant-sick...

I received a care package from home...inside were edible goodies from the good ol' USA...notes from parents, sisters...letters, one from Jennifer Wharton, who is doing as spunkily as ever, having written me the letter during one of her classes that was just not "up to par"...at least I was giving her much-too-active-for-the-academia-of-this-world-mind something to do...and lastly, a yearbook that friends from Covenant had all signed.

Man, am I now homesick...I loved all the notes and well-wishes from beloved friends inside that yearbook, the pictures were awesome, I stared at all the senior shots and quotes, the hall pictures, the events...my favorite photo is on pg. 45...the curly heads of Rach, Steph, and me all in a row as we listen intently to the Reformed or Evangelical debate Fall '03. My second favorite is a toss-up between the train on pg. 39 and the pirates on pg. 133. My third is the wild women featured on pg. 113. Beautiful girls.

I looked and looked and missed and missed. This has been the week for missing...missing people...missing people a lot.

Man, am I Covenant-sick.

And in other news, I've discovered the Decemberists...

"And I am a writer, writer of fictions
I am the heart that you call home
And I've written pages upon pages
Trying to rid you from my bones.

And if you don't love me, let me go..."
