Top Ten Overused Pieces of Music (Ever)

1. Pachabel, Canon in D
2. Beatles, "All You Need Is Love"
3. Bach, "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring"
4. Beethoven, "Fur Elise"
5. Mozart, "Sonata in C Major" (otherwise known as the Tweety Bird song)
6. Mendelssohn, "Spring Song"
7. Dylan, "The Times They Are A-Changing"
8. Gershwin, "Rhapsody in Blue" (and I only include this b/c United Airlines made it into a somewhat cheesy theme song for the company)
9. Beethoven, "Moonlight Sonata, mov. 1"
10. Brahms, "Wiegenlied: Guten Abend, gute Nacht, Op. 49, No. 4" (Lullaby)

All of these are prefectly good pieces of music. It just seems to me that sometimes they stand in for and overshadow a whole host of other wonderful musics...

And I even actually enjoy many of these myself.
