whiling the weekend away

"Getting online in the morning is like reading the paper, except you get to catch up on people's personal lives, too." ~The Kaufwomen

We, by which I mean Laura, Heidi, Evan, myself and some others from their church, saw Amazing Grace yesterday. Subsequent moments have been filled with internet research regarding the historical background of William Wilberforce and asking questions like "so, that one person DID become prime minister?? Which one? The one with the wig...." This is not to say that we were mystified by the parliamentary procedure, but merely a suggestion to potential viewers that brushing up on your post-Revolutionary British history vastly improves the comprehensibility of the film. And I wasn't expecting a film about slavery to be quite so humorous, but the dialogue included some very witty moments.

Other useful things to transpire yesterday afternoon include learning the meaning of the word Fandango, but we have yet to use it in a sentence.

EDIT: We hit up the North End of Boston for some pastries. I know now why Clemenza said "Leave the guns; take the cannolis." So good. I would have taken them, too.
