This would be a lot of fun to watch. I wish we could get it here in the US. I tried to watch the videos from the website and they said I couldn't watch because it was outside the UK. Sniff, sniff. The tears are coursing down my cheeks......

You'd better not waste those herbs!

Herbs make everything nicer. On eggs. In tabbouleh (seconding Jnet). In a fresh tomato sauce. On a tomato salad. In any kind of salad. Mixed in with olive oil for a flavored oil. In fun pestos (google pesto and whatever herb you have and you'll find some fun recipes) (and you can freeze pesto for later). On fish (esp. the dill). In all kinds of middle-eastern foods. You can even freeze them in a little olive oil or water in ice cube trays for when fresh herbs aren't so abundant.

I envy your fresh herbs!

it's better than a lottery b/c you always get a box every week. Yikes. If I got all several hundred boxes of vegetables, I am not sure what I would do. Except maybe hold a feast, like Babbette. We pick our veggies up in JP (Jamaica Plain for you nonBostonians). :)

JP is about a 20 minute drive from Dot (Dorchester).

That is a great picture... does it reflect your posture while waiting for Evan to change the tire?
I'm sorry that you were left with unfulfilled tickets to Tanglewood. I hope you have a very uneventful week! We're heading to CA tomorrow, driving, so hopefully we won't have "sympathy" tire issues.

Lucky....you have a full summer planned. Do fans help at all with the humidity? You can try the age old technique of putting a block of ice in front the fan to cool you down. Then when the ice melts you can drink it or make ice tea out of it or something, Or you can put it in a container and refreeze it into a block of ice.

Guess where the Odell's took us for our 50th sha-bang? They surprised us with a concert at the Pikes Peak Center featuring America. Yes, after 36 years of touring, there is only one new member of the band, the bass guitarist. Their opening act was a homegrown veternarian-comedian-tap-dancing talent. He actually was pretty funny, and after 36 years of touring, he was a first for America as well. The band had a good sense of humor about themselves by not taking themselves too seriously because after all, it's hard to hit those high notes that once came so easily 36 years ago.
